God of War Ragnarok: How to Defeat The Huntress – Boss Fight

After defeating Thor in a very long fight at the start of the game, Kratos will come back home to find Atreus and then they’ll start their journey but on the way, they get to fight many raiders as well as another boss named The Huntress. The Huntress is the first boss that you get to fight with the help of Atreus.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to defeat The Huntress in God of War Ragnarok.

Defeating The Huntress

Kratos and Atreus will be looking for Sindri to take them home but on the way, Kratos will be attacked by an enemy who has been killing the raiders. Now, it’s time to take out this enemy. The Huntress is a foe with half horse and she has horns.

Huntress has a bow that fires a number of fire arrows at once that deal fire damage if you get hit by it so try to dodge the arrows. Huntress will also shoot a single arrow of fire as well that deals fire damage as well so make sure to dodge all of the arrow attacks that deal fire damage. She’ll also throw a line on the ground that will explode gradually so keep your distance from the explosions as well. Use the aim trigger to aim at the Huntress and order Atreus to shoot her with the arrows.

The Huntress has a weak point as well which is her Glowing Horns. If you see her Horns glowing, place your aim at her horns and throw the Leviathan Axe on them. Hitting the Axe on her horns will stun her which will give you a chance to deal an extreme amount of damage to her while she is down. Use Atreus’s arrows on her, hit her with Leviathan Axe, hit her with Blades of Chaos, or you can just use your bare hands if you want.

When she is up again, she’ll start throwing explosions on the ground that will explode and send fire arrows toward you so make sure to dodge them. Use Atreus’s arrows to deal damage to her and use Blades of Chaos to deal her from a distance because if you go close to her she’ll run away to the other side. You only want to use the Leviathan Axe when her horns are glowing. Aim at the horns and throw the Leviathan Axe to stun her and then deal damage to her.

If your Rage is charged up then use the Rage to deal damage to her when you have depleted her HP almost to the endpoint, you get the option to finish her which will let you perform the finishing move and kill her.
