Hi-Fi Rush: How to Parry

Hi-Fi Rush is full of action and music beats that players will get to enjoy along with exploring different areas of Vandelay Island. There are a lot of different combo attacks and special attacks that players will get to learn as they progress through the game but there is also the Parry mechanic that players will get to learn later in the game.

Parrying in Hi-Fi Rush

Since everything is synced up with the Beat playing in the background, all the attacks of the players will be synced up as well and players will also be able to parry the enemy attacks according to the beat to damage them back. Parrying the attacks take practice to master because it should be timed perfectly according to the beat.

To parry the attacks of the enemies, you will have to press the B button on your controller at the perfect time. You will be able to parry an attack perfectly during combat when the Light Blue Circle overlaps with the Pink Circle. These are the same circles that you see while finishing your combo with 808 but these circles are for parrying an enemy attack.

At the start, it might not be perfect but as you keep taking fights, you will adjust to the beat playing in the background and will be able to parry the attacks perfectly. However, the parrying ability is not available until the third stage of the game. Players will get to learn how to parry in the third stage of the game. Until then players will have to dodge the attacks of the enemies.

However, not all attacks are parryable. Some are un-parryable and players will have to dodge them in order to get out without taking any damage. But parrying the enemy attacks is very useful as it redirects the damage back to the enemies and it makes clearing out enemies a lot quicker.
