Marvel’s Spider-Man 2: How to Switch Between Miles & Peter

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 allows players to play with both Spider-Men to traverse NYC and complete unique side missions to both of the protagonists outside of the main story. At the early stage, the game will switch between the characters automatically and once players have made enough progress, they will be able to switch between Miles and Morales freely.

How to Switch Between Miles Morales and Peter Parker in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Switching between Miles and Peter, the main protagonists of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will require the use of the FNSM app. Both Miles and Peter can use the FNSM app but it is not readily available from the start of the game. To unlock the FNSM app in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, players must first complete the main story mission for Ganke to fix the FNSM app. You will be able to complete this mission right after the prologue of the game. Simply go through the main objectives of the mission to get access to the FNSM app.

Once you have unlocked the FNSM app, you will be able to use it to switch between Miles and Peter. There are two methods to access the FNSM app in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

• First Method: Swipe left on the DualSense Controller’s touchpad.
• Second Method: Go into the main menu of the game and select the ‘Open FNSM App’ option.

Both of the methods will open the FNSM app on the screen. After that, press and hold the Square button to switch to the other character. The game will instantly switch to the other character only if the character is not busy/on an important mission.

There are some limitations to switching between characters in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 but they are not grievous. The game will only hold you off from switching to the other character if the currently equipped character is on a mission or speaking to an important person. For instance, if Peter is speaking with MJ or Miles is speaking with his Mother, the game will not let you switch and it will require for conversation to be over for you to make the switch.

Apart from switching the characters, the FNSM app also allows you to accept FNSM requests which is great for leveling up. The FNSM app shows the request for the required character with his respective Spidey Symbol. Some requests have both characters’ symbols allowing you to complete the request with any equipped character.
