Rainbow Six Extraction: How the Buddy Pass works
In Rainbow Six Extraction there is the so-called Buddy Pass. This allows friends of yours to test the game without owning the game themselves, but there’s a catch. In the following, we explain what you need to know and what you need to pay attention to.
What is the Buddy Pass?
Each Rainbow Six Extraction full version owner will receive 2 Buddy Pass tokens. You can use them to invite up to 2 friends who can then test the game for free for 14 days, even if they don’t own the game. For this, the owner of Rainbow Six Extraction must invite the friends via the in-game menu.
Players who do not own the game have to download the test version from the respective store on their platform because crossplay means you don’t all have to gamble on the same platform. You then simply start the game and accept your friend’s invitation via the in-game menu.
Important note: You must play together in the same squad so that you can test the game for free for 14 days. While the trial version offers all players the chance to try the game for up to 2 hours for free, the 2-hour timer expires. If you play with the friend who owns the full version via Buddy Pass, the 2-hour timer of the trial will be paused and will not restart until you continue playing without your friend.
Playing the trial version gives you full access to the game, with the exception of post-game content, Maelstrom Protocol mode, and the in-game store.
If the trial version players decide to buy the game, the progress made during the trial period will be saved and fully carried over to the full version of the game, including all trophies and achievements by the way.
