How to increase the frame rate in Cyberpunk 2077 on AMD Ryzen processors

Users and reviewers have noticed that Cyberpunk 2077 has problems using the full potential of AMD Ryzen processors, in particular SMT (Simultaneous Multithreading) technology. Interestingly, a similar snag is missing on Intel processors.
We were provided a solution to this problem that improved the game’s multithreading support and, as a result, increased the minimum and average frame rates.
The solution requires modification of the Cyberpunk 2077 executable, which seems to affect how the project recognizes the processor.
A quick guide:
- Download the HxD hex editor;
- Find Cyberpunk2077.exe in the game folder;
- Make a backup copy of the file;
- Drag Cyberpunk2077.exe to HxD (you should see something like 01 FF 0D and so on);
- Press Ctrl + F, change the column to Hex-Values;
- Enter ″ 75 30 33 C9 B8 01 00 00 00 0F A2 8B C8 C1 F9 08 ″ in the search string without quotes, these values should be highlighted;
- Copy ″ EB 30 33 C9 B8 01 00 00 00 0F A2 8B C8 C1 F9 08 ″ without quotes;
- Back in HxD, right-click on the highlighted values and choose ″ paste insert ″;
- Now go to the top panel and click the save button.
Note that in some cases, these steps do not help fix a performance issue in Cyberpunk 2077.
