No Rest for the Wicked: How to Replenish Health & Cook Food

Exploring the merciless world of Isola Sacra will often run you into gruesome enemies that deal a substantial amount of damage on each hit. For the most part, you would have to engage in a fight and defeat the enemies to cross ahead. As enemies’ attacks can be tabled by dodging, blocking, and parrying, you must know how to replenish health if your character’s health bar drops below fifty percent to overcome the potential death and failure of the so-far journey.

This guide will provide you with information on how to replenish your character’s health and how you can cook food in No Rest for the Wicked.

How to Replenish Health in No Rest for the Wicked

Replenishing Health in No Rest for the Wicked requires you to consume Food items or ingredients that are used to make food items. Unlike Souls games where you are provided with flasks to replenish your character’s Health, you will have to use the food items and the number of food items do not recover after resting at the Cerim Whisper (bonfire) unlike in the Souls games.

NOTE: Press the UP Button on the D-Pad to consume the selected food item.

Running out of the food items at your disposal will make the fighting encounters the deadliest so, it is best to always stack yourself with the food items by cooking them.

How to Cook Food in No Rest for the Wicked

Cooking Food is one of the essential activities in No Rest for the Wicked and players can indulge in this activity at a Fire Pits. Fire Pits are campfires scattered throughout the world. They are specifically used for cooking meals and once you find one, go near it and press the Y button to start cooking. It will open a cooking menu where you will be able to see the available cooking recipes at your disposal.

NOTE: You can only cook the Known Recipes with the required ingredients.

Hover over the food recipe and press the A button to start crafting it. Here, you will get to select the amount that you wish to craft. Use the arrows to increase or decrease the amount and then press the A button again to cook the food.

TIP: Always cook the maximum amount of food items, especially if the food item increases Health.

Apart from just increasing Health, there are other food recipes as well which give temporary buffs. You can also cook them according to your needs and then use them during combat to gain buffs for a limited time.

Playing Video Games is the very first hobby that I partake in and it became my favorite hobby. Played Unreal Tournament 2004 as my first game which made me a fan of FPS Games. Story and Adventure Games are still my Cup of Tea to go with as they give more detailing to the described worlds and characters. I love to help out my fellow gamers across all over the world by making my publications.
