Thief Simulator 2 - Automatic Lockpick

Thief Simulator 2 offers several tools that will help you in your thieving endeavors and help you find hidden valuables throughout several areas of the map. One of the tools that will help you find secret hidden items is an Automatic Lockpick. The Automatic Lockpick is mainly used to unlock the level 3 lock doors around the areas to get more precious items and as you progress in the main story, you will need an Automatic Lockpick for one of the jobs.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to get and use the Automatic Lockpick in Thief Simulator 2.

How to Get an Automatic Lockpick in Thief Simulator 2

The Automatic Lockpick is one of the late-game tools that you will get to buy once you have made a decent amount of money and progressed into the main story. To get the Automatic Lockpick, you need to buy it from the Stealgear app on the computer in the Hideout. Buying the Automatic Lockpick will cost you $2,500. However, before you get to buy it, you need to unlock it by learning the Lockpicking (Level 3) skill. Once you have learned the skill, it will be available on Stealgear for you to buy.

How to Use an Automatic Lockpick in Thief Simulator 2

To use the Automatic Lockpick, you need to find the Lockpicking Level 3 doors. These doors are usually found at the entrance of well-guarded facilities and houses. As you get close to the door, it will show the Lockpicking Level 3 icon. You need to simply go to the Lockpick icon and interact with it by pressing the E button to start unlocking the door. The Automatic Lockpick does not require any additional actions to unlock the door.

The Automatic Lockpick is mostly required for higher-level houses and the first time that you will get to use it is for the Forestside Resort heist.
