Xbox One is a Bad Choice to Play Cyberpunk 2077

CDPR asks players wishing to issue a Cyberpunk 2077 refund on the PS Store to wait

The long-awaited Cyberpunk 2077 game from CD Projekt RED studio has started official sales today. And after checking out the final version for the Xbox One console, I am slightly shocked.

The fact is that almost all journalists and bloggers were given a PC version for review. The console version was shown very selectively (only PS4 Pro, PS5, Xbox One X, and Xbox Series X). Now it became clear why the developers did this.

I have a peculiar hobby: when everyone else is playing the best versions of the games, I choose the worst. When the Xbox One and PS4 started selling, I played Battlefield 4, Destiny, Thief, Alien: Isolation, and Watch Dogs on PS3. As they say, I enjoyed myself as much as possible.

This week, yours truly has the opportunity to check out the Xbox One version of Cyberpunk 2077. I was prepared in advance for the fact that there might be problems, but the result exceeded all expectations … IT IS SIMPLY NON-PLAYABLE!

The closest association is Control, which is horribly ported to Xbox One and PS4. Cyberpunk 2077 runs in extremely low resolution, which is superimposed on a disgusting frame rate. Feels like the game gives out 15-20 fps, and the dynamic resolution regularly sags below 720p.

The final picture regularly turns into pixel jelly, and it is extremely problematic to shoot or drive accurately. This is overlaid with square shadows and problems with streaming textures and surrounding objects and characters. Separately, it is worth noting the mirrors in which the character’s hair and hat regularly disappear.

Difficulties can arise even with the loading of animations, because of which the character begins to go forward on his own, and the car may refuse to brake or crash into an invisible object.

I decided to share my impressions with you (I don’t want to suffer alone). At the same time, the Internet is already complaining that the PS4 version of the game suffers from similar problems.

With this in mind, we recommend readers to bypass Cyberpunk on PS4 and Xbox One. Vision, you know, is more expensive.
