Cyberpunk 2077 has sold 13 million units (considering returns)

Cyberpunk 2077 sold about 1.2 million copies from the beginning of the year to mid-April

Cyberpunk 2077 has already sold an estimated 13 million copies across all platforms… counting all copies returned after the disastrous release on consoles.

CD Projekt RED has made Cyberpunk 2077 sales data public. And despite all the controversy currently raised around the game, the figure is scandalous: during the first 10 days, an estimated 13 million copies have been sold.

And yes, this includes all returns on all platforms, both in traditional stores and on digital platforms such as PlayStation and Xbox stores. That is, those 13 million have already discounted the estimated number of returns which of course has not been disclosed.

It should be noted that before the release, December 10, about 8 million pre-release sales had already been estimated, so between December 10 and 20, an additional 5 million copies were sold. This includes all platforms (PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia), and in physical or digital format.

CD Projekt RED has issued the data in a brief statement by the board of directors due to the potential positive impact it may have on its investors. Recall that the New York Times reported that investors of the Polish company, which is listed in Warsaw were considering a class action lawsuit, due to the millionaire losses that its stock market crash has caused.

All the controversy arose over the performance of the versions of the old consoles, PS4 and Xbox One, which caused CD Projekt to commit to comply with all returns, even with its own money if the store fell out. However, you can no longer request returns through CD Projekt RED.

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
